About Me
I have been in education for 11 years. 5 years in the classroom and 6 years as a staff developer.
In the classroom years, I taught K-2 music, and was on many different committees including the building leadership team, district leadership team, and the district technology committee. Towards the end of my time with my own classroom, I also taught Introduction to Computer Programming in Visual Basic for a year at a Jamestown Community College as an adjunct evening instructor.
More recently, I have six years experience as a coordinator for curriculum and staff development at Erie 1 BOCES / WNYRIC (Western New York Regional Information Center). In this position, I regularly conduct workshops for technology integration in school districts throughout Western New York as part of CSLO (Common Set of Learning Objectives) / Model Schools. For additional workshops that we conduct on a regular basis, please see Regional and Model Schools workshops at the following link: http://www.wnyric.org/cslo
I was a presenter at the NECC 2006 and 2007 Summer Conferences.
I have been a presenter at the past six annual NYSCATE conferences (www.nyscate.org).
I am a co-chairperson for podcasting committee for the NYSCATE 2006 and 2007 Fall Conferences. Our goal it to podcast all Keynote addresses, as well as, most, if not all, the several hundred one hour presentations.
